Demonic Giveaway Inspired by Our Favorite Games!

Demonic Giveaway Inspired by Our Favorite Games!

So Persona 4 Arena is my new favorite fighting game. It’s gotten to the point where I question if it’s healthy. I found myself on Ami Ami last night, looking up Naoto Shirogane towelettes to take to the gym (which, by the way, are sold out on preorder! Q_Q)… at 2 A.M. in the morning… while nursing my BattleSpace queue…

Yeah, I’m an ATLUS fan! :D Here you thought I just liked to troll you on the forums.

Anyway, this got me thinking. If Persona 4 Arena is like crack injected into my former-RPG’d veins, surely there are other ATLUS ONLINE fans that’d like to sink their teeth into the game. Am I right, or am I right?—which is why you can now participate in our Demonic Back-to-School Giveaway, with 6-6-6 prizes:

  • 6x Persona 4 Arena for the system of your choice (US residents only)
  • 6x $25 e-pins
  • 6x $50 e-pins (That’s, like, eight Special Refresh β)

It’s easy to enter. All you got to do is make a new character in Pandora Saga and/or MegaTen—or a new account in BattleSpace and/or Knights of the Sky—and hit level 20. The more ATLUS ONLINE titles you do it in, the better chance you have at winning the prize. The raffle tickets are cumulative: level 20 in one game, 1 raffle ticket; two games, 3 raffle tickets; three games, 6 raffle tickets; four games, 4 raffle tickets.

We also have a MegaTen giveaway going on right now for Persona 2: Innocent Sin, the sister to one of my top 3 favorite RPGs, Persona 2: Eternal Punishment! I have no idea why you’re reading this blog when you could be nailing these giveaways RIGHT NOW.

Speaking of favorite games, I asked around the office and found out some awesome ATLUS ONLINE team trivia:

  • Tasty Cake’s favorite ATLUS ONLINE game is Pandora Saga. “I still dig the amount of possible character builds.”
  • One of our marketing gurus—you may see him on the forums as “Moderator”—says Persona 4 Arena is his favorite ATLUS game, period. I don’t know if I’d go that far… I’m still married to Catherine. But that’s got to say something about how addicitive P4A can be.
  • Toaster’s favorite retro game is Gyruss! He’s even got Gyruss swag.

You Tell Me: It’s awesome to hear from the community!

  • What’s your favorite ATLUS game?
  • What’s your favorite ATLUS ONLINE game?
  • What’s your favorite retro game? We’re talking Sega Saturn and older, yo.

Knights Scrapbook Event

Knights Scrapbook Event

Greetings, Lords!

This event has now ended. Prizes were distributed. Congratulations to Wyddles, the lucky winner of the Aqua Drop!

From now till the 6/21 maintenance, we’re hosting a Scrapbook Event for our no-download game, Knights of the Sky. We want you to post your favorite links in honor of your nation, be it Federation or Empire.  It’s easy to participate, and every commenter gets a prize!

The Rules

To participate, leave a comment on this page with three links:

  • An informative article from a .org or .edu site on a real-life historical Federation or Empire
  • Your favorite forum post—from anywhere on the ATLUS ONLINE forums!
  • Your favorite blog post—from anywhere from the ATLUS ONLINE blog!

When leaving your links, make sure to include a brief description, maybe even a three-sentence story. For example:

In the Middle Ages, the Byzantine Empire conquered the entire Mediterranean. But in no-download game Knights of the Sky, the Empire is more interested in conquering the Fantastic Happy Time MSD Bar. Fortunately, with metamorphosis drops, they will be one step closer to reaching their goal…

It’s that simple!

The Prizes

All participants will receive a Lime Drop, good for metamorphosing two Common Heroes into an Uncommon! And just to make the deal sweeter, we’ll also give away one Aqua Drop for every 10 entries (1-10, 11-20, etc.). That’s your ticket to turning two Uncommons into a Rare!

If we reach 50 entries, we’ll give away a Ruby Drop, good towards metamorphosing two Rares into a Super Rare. So spread the word to your friends and help us create a scrapbook for no-download game Knights of the Sky!

Metamorphosis Drops: How to Get Them

Metamorphosis Drops: How to Get Them

Even though metamorphosis was released weeks ago, players haven’t had the opportunity to take advantage of the system without these mythical treasures: Lime Drops, Aqua Drops, Ruby Drops, and Gold Drops. Thanks to two special events run over the last week, ATLUS ONLINE distributed the first drops to the community! They were available in:

All drops were redeemed during maintenance. If you missed your chance at these events, you might be wondering,  ”How will I get these drops in the future? Will they ever show up as items in-game?”

At this time, the mythic drops of Knights of the Sky are exclusive event-only goodies. While we don’t have an event lined up for today, our goal’s to get the community as active as possible with these awesome rewards! So make sure to check back at the blog early next week for more opportunities.

You Tell Us! We’d love to hear your thoughts.

  • Other than the metamorphosis drops, what items are mythic to impossible to find in Knights of the Sky?
  • If you had a Lime Drop, what Heroes would you metamorphosis?
  • E3 is just around the corner! What’re you expecting from ATLUS ONLINE during E3 2012?

You Tell Us! | Knights Questionnaire

You Tell Us! | Knights Questionnaire

Hey there, Knights fans!

This event has now ended. Please check A Knight’s Letter again after E3 for more chances to win drops for metamorphosis! All drops for this event will be distributed during maintenance.

We missed A Knight’s Letter last week due to the overwhelming demands of BattleSpace. Now that we’re officially launching into space, we can return to the floating castles of Odyssya!

Today’s maintenance includes more Gacha Heroes, boasting the beautiful art of The Crystal War. To celebrate, we wanted to give players the opportunity to try out the Metamorphosis System. The Flailing Monkey wasn’t aware the metamorphosis items weren’t in-game yet… But now it’s time to fix that! :)

By participating in this week’s questionnaire, you can get metamorphose goodies in your Knights inbox.

The Rules
Simply comment on this post with answers to the questionnaire. You must answer all questions to qualify. All participants receive a small prize, while random lucky winners qualify for a bigger prize. Contest ends next A Knight’s Letter, 5/31 at 4:00 P.M., PDT.

The Prize
You will receive a small prize just for participating. Depending on community feedback, we will also give away some bigger prizes!

  • All participants will receive a Lime Drop, good for metamorphosing two Common Heroes into an Uncommon.
  • For every 10 commenters (1-10, 11-20, etc.), we will select a random winner for an Aqua Drop, good for metamorphosing two Uncommon Heroes into a Rare.
  • If we reach 50 unique commenters, we will select one random winner for a Ruby Drop, good for metamorphosing two Rare Heroes into a Super Rare!
  • If we reach 100 unique commenters, we will select one random winner for a Gold Drop, good for metamorphosing two Super Rare Heroes into an SR+!

The Questionnaire
You must answer all the questions to qualify.

  1. What’s your Lord’s name?
  2. When did you first start playing Knights of the Sky?
  3. Which resource do you always need more of?
  4. Do you play our other browser games, like BattleSpace and Shadowland Online? If so, which one do you enjoy the most?
  5. What other events would you like to see on the blog, Facebook, and/or forums?

We look forward to your submissions!

Newb Diary | Gryphons vs. Dragons

Newb Diary | Gryphons vs. Dragons

Not gonna lie—blue is an epic color. Which is why when this Flailing Monkey jumped into my first no download game, I ended up with gryphons.

I was convinced these were the hot, new thing; gryphons were why I continued to play Knights of the Sky. Gryphon-based Heroes were why I checked the Tavern every day. (Hey, we all have our weird perks that attract us to games.)

You can imagine the horror when I walked by a Federation tester’s desk. “What is this?” I asked. “You have dragons?

“Oh yeah,” he replied. “They’re amazing.”

This was a newb’s oversight. I’d gotten so engrossed in my gryphon army—the whole no download game experience and all—I hadn’t considered the possibility of other equivalently amazing units.

If you’re part of the Empire, get ready for dragon action. If you’re in the Federation…

How are you living without gryphons?

Gryphon units provide distinct advantages in the Knights of the Sky strategy game system:

  • Mobility—take out those back row units with ease
  • Defense—while not as high as infantry, golems, etc., it’s an improvement to other units that attack long-ranged, such as casters
  • Hotness—no other unit looks cooler on the battlefield!
I’ve gotten reports from our more veteran Knights of the Sky staff that if you level your gryphons high enough, they come equipped with a shiny chestplate. Yowza!

My dragon, it’s better than yours…

Dragons are so pimpin’, you can’t help but like them, even when they’re kicking your butt.

Like the gryphons, the moment I steeped myself in the Federation, my sole purpose was working towards that full-fledged dragon army. It might not be the most strategic way to go about things, but picture the intimidation factor.

If you haven’t tried it out yet, give the flying army a go! And it never hurts to create a second ATLUS ONLINE account to give the other side a whirl.

You tell us! We’d love to hear your thoughts.

  • Everyone knows pirates are better than ninjas, but what about gryphons vs. dragons?
  • What unit(s) do you rely on in Knights of the Sky?
  • What do you look for in the perfect Hero?

Crystal War: Phase Three

Crystal War: Phase Three

Welcome, Lords of the skies! We’re rolling out another huge patch for Knights of the Sky today, including:

  • Hero Union System—use your unwanted Heroes to enhance and metamorphose your militia
  • Updated quest text
  • More Gacha Heroes
  • Dozens of bug fixes

We plan to rock the overtime into the wee hours of the night, so expect extended maintenance from 4 P.M., PDT to 10 P.M., PDT. But the wait is worth it! Our fantasy no-download flash game will sport more content than ever before, for new and seasoned players alike.

The Hero Union System gives players the chance to “Enhance Heroes,” increasing stats, or “Metamorphose Heroes,” bolstering rarity. This is the only way to unlock the SR+ rarity! For players who enjoy the new feature, we also have a similar “Commander Synthesis” option in our sci-fi no-download flash game, BattleSpace

You tell us! We’d love to hear your thoughts about Knights of the Sky: The Crystal War Phase Three.

  • Are you looking forward to the Hero Union System?
  • Do you plan to metamorphose Heroes for higher rarity, or enhance Heroes for higher stats?
  • What have you enjoyed in the earlier Phase One and Phase Two releases of The Crystal War?

In addition to Knights of the Sky: The Crystal War Phase Three, we’re launching our exclusive Shadowland Online server today. For players eager to get in on another no-download flash game centered in a fantasy world, visit the official ATLUS ONLINE site.
